Belt models with ratchet buckles: Oslo Belt, Mister Belt:
Step 1: Prepare a tape measure and a pair of scissors.
Step 2: Use the tape measure to measure your waist circumference (at the waistband, at navel level). Cut the belt to your waist circumference + 20cm. For example: If your waist circumference is 80cm, the belt should be about 100cm long.
Alternatively, you can try the belt on around your waist until it feels comfortable and snug, then determine the length of the strap to be cut.
Step 3: Use scissors to open the clamp of the buckle head (the part with teeth) to detach the buckle.
Step 4: Use a ruler to measure and mark the section of the strap to be cut according to the belt length in Step 2, then cut accordingly. Note: Cut the strap at the belt end (the part that contacts the buckle), not the tail end.
Step 5: Reattach the buckle to the strap, and try pulling it. If it doesn't slip, you've succeeded! Now, try it on and see if you're satisfied!
